Summer Service Starts Monday, May 4, 2026

Starting Monday, May 4, Capital Transit will begin our expanded Summer Service, which is expected to run through Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Routing Changes:

  • Timepoints for some stops on all routes have changed. Please check the new schedules and be at your stop 5 minutes early to make sure you do not miss your bus. Schedules are available online at juneaucapitaltransit.org/schedules or using the Transit Directions in Google Maps.
  • Route 1 Downtown / 4th Street buses will not go up to the Cedar Park bus stop in the evening. As an alternative, please board the Route 1 Douglas bus at Cedar Park at :24 minutes after the hour, or use the stop on Douglas Highway opposite Cordova Street at :37 minutes after the hour.

Service Additions:

  • Weekend Route 8 Express service, approximately 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Sunday Core Service (Route 1, 3, & 4) hours extended to match Saturday service, approximately 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Temporary Suspensions due to staffing shortages:

  • Starting Monday, May 4, the 6:45 am run of the Route 9 Downtown Egan Express from the Valley Transit Center is suspended until further notice, please use the following as alternatives:
    • Route 7 Lemon Creek / Downtown service departing the Valley Transit Center at 6:45 am.
    • Route 9 Downtown Egan Express from the Valley Transit Center at 6:25 am or 7:15 am.
  • Starting Monday, May 4, the 7:00 am run of the Route 8 Valley Express from the Downtown Transit Center is suspended until further notice, please use the following as alternatives:
    • Route 4 Mendenhall Valley from the Downtown Transit Center at 6:40 am.
    • Route 3 Mendenhall Valley from the Downtown Transit Center at 7:10 am.
  • The Route 6 Aiport Connector service is suspended until further notice.
