Capital Transit limits bus capacity to nine, implements route adjustments.

In an effort to promote social distancing, and for the health of Juneau riders and bus operators, Capital Transit is:

• Limiting bus capacity to nine (9) riders
• Cancelling Express Routes 5 and 6
• Adding additional buses on Routes 3 and 4

Riders should only use the bus for essential trips, such as:

• Healthcare appointments and pharmacy visits
• Grocery shopping
• Employment at a critical job

These changes go into effect immediately. Capital Transit understands the inconvenience this may cause for many riders, but appreciates the community’s understanding and patience. Capital Transit continues to ask riders to board and exit using the rear door.
