Capital Transit will be making several changes to routes and schedules starting Monday, October 23, 2023. A summary of changes for each route is shown below, or for more details:

• See updated schedules.
• Use Google Maps Transit directions. You’ll need to change “Leave now” to “Depart at” or “Arrive by”, and set the date to October 23, 2023 or later.

Summary of Changes:

Route 1 Douglas/Downtown:

• Earlier morning service from Treadwell, Monday – Friday

Route 4 Mendenhall Valley/Downtown:

• Earlier morning service in both directions, Monday – Friday.

Route 5 University Connector:

• Service resumes during peak morning and afternoon periods, Monday – Friday.
• This service is timed to make transfers to and from the Route 3 at the Valley Transit Center.

Route 6 Riverside/Airport Connector:

• Service resumes during peak morning and afternoon periods, Monday – Friday.
• This service is timed to make transfers to and from the Route 4 at the Valley Transit Center.

Route 7 Lemon Creek Commuter:

• The first afternoon run from the Downtown Transit Center will depart at 2:05 pm.
• Service from Downtown will continue from the Valley Transit Center to Auke Bay.

Route 8 Downtown/Valley Express:

• Some changes to the times of morning runs, and an additional run in the afternoon.

Route 9 Egan Express:

• Earlier morning service and timing changes from the Valley Transit Center.

Route 10 Taku Commuter:

• Earlier morning service and timing changes.
