Juneau International Airport

Juneau can only be accessed by plane or boat. The Juneau International Airport is city owned and offers service with Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines along with several seaplanes, flightseeing planes and helicopter service. Capital Transit provides service to and from airport.

Alaska Marine Highway System

The Alaska Marine Highway System operates as a division of the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for the State of Alaska. The Marine Highway is an integral part of the State highway infrastructure, transporting people and vehicles to our coastal communities on a year-round basis. Traveling by ferry is a unique experience. Please refer to http://www.alaska.gov/ferry for details of what you can expect. Capital Transit’s closest stop to the Auke Bay Ferry Terminal is 1 ½ miles away at Dehart/Auke Bay.  Alternate or additional transportation to the terminal is advised.
